The people of Algeria

Here’s looking at you, kid

There are certainly some incredible adventure experiences to be had in Algeria, but you have to be careful if you’re set on visiting here. Focus on finding a tour operator who has a great track record for safety as well as a strong reputation for delivering an amazing experience.

With that said, Algeria experiences start with the interesting cultural offerings and continue on to the Sahara where you can step back in time as you take a camel trek from oasis to oasis.

Algiers is a magical city with a rich history, an exotic allure and a beautiful setting. It’s been a crossroads for many a traveler over the centuries and boasts a unique atmosphere that comes with the many different influences of the peoples who have touched its soul through the years.

You’ll get the full experience like those who have done the same for centuries as you wrap yourself up for protection from the sun and the wind and enjoy an exciting journey for the ages. You’ll also experience the unpleasant aspects of your assigned beast of burden complete with interesting behaviors and unique smells.

Add a few other twists from Jewish, Spanish, Berber and Italian cuisines and you’ve got an eclectic and unique fare that proves to be quite an adventure in itself.

The architecture you’ll discover in Algeria is both interesting and diverse due to the country being strategically situated between the east and the west. You’ll see this as you walk the streets of Algiers and view the Mosques and Moorish palaces. You can also head towards the town of Timgad and view some of the Roman ruins or find some of the French colonial-style fortresses to explore.
