Generally speaking, Ukraine is safe, but you do need to be mindful of the street crime. At the time this was written, Ukraine continues to go through considerable economic, political, and social change and there is a disparity in the levels of income. Because of this sometimes tourists may be perceived as wealthy and easy targets for crime.
The bottom line: Ukraine may not yet have developed a full menu of adventure travel experiences like Spain or Italy, but it’s well worth your time, especially if you’re into European history and culture.

Have you ever seen the beaches along the Black Sea? Gorgeous! The white-sand beaches are absolutely beautiful and the water is a beautiful blue on a clear day… truly an exotic destination for some fun in the sun.
Kiev has a unique magic of its own from the incredible architecture you’ll see in spectacular structures like the golden domes of Saint Michael’s Monastery to the haunting World War 2 landmarks.
You can even tour the site of the nuclear meltdown in Chernobyl. That’s not the kind of thing you can see in other parts of the world. It’s said to be safe, but you might want to be the judge that one for yourself.
